Sponsor a Child's Education
Given the high unemployment rate in Tanzania and the very low per capita income, the cost to send a child to school is out of reach for most families. The cost to an orphaned or abandoned boy or a Maasai girls is simply unattainable.
Your sponsorship donation will send a child to a quality boarding school where English, the language of advancement in Tanzania, is the medium of instruction. Our scholarship students attend Tanzanian schools that have a strong sense of mission and are noted for their academic excellence.
We believe that by attending a quality school our scholarship students have the best chance for becoming agents of change in their communities and their country.
As a sponsor, you'll receive background information and a photograph of your child, plus regular updates on your child's progress in school.

Sponsor a School
The public schools in Tanzania have very few books and almost no school supplies. The English classes are lucky if the teacher has a book for themselves to use with the 60 to 100 children in each of their classes. A donation of $3 will buy a box of crayons, A donation of $30 will buy 3 books. A donation of $300 will buy a computer. Any amount contributed to sponsor a school will help Tanzania's children obtain a quality education.
Sponsor a Class Library
English books are a key element in providing Tanzania's children with a quality education in the public primary school and they only have an average of one per class. The EfforTZ mobile English Library program is changing this situation and you can help. Please consider sponsoring all or a portion of a class library. A class library is made up of 40 copies of 8 different books, or titles. Depending on the grade level, sponsoring a class library can cost between $1,500 and $3,000. If you wish to sponsor a portion of a class library - 40 copies of one title - the cost would range between $250 and $500.
Sponsor a Teacher's Volunteer Trip to Tanzania
Annually, EfforTZ volunteers work in Tanzanian schools building English literacy skills with teachers and students for three weeks at a time. The cost of one of these trips approximates $5,000. This cost includes airfare, room and board, and transportation to and from school on a daily basis. Won't you help sponsor a volunteer's trip to Tanzania?
